Slip Additive Masterbatch
Low Friction, Smooth Handling & Higher Throughput
Product Overview
RSPIMB Slip Additive Masterbatch is based on slip agents — unsaturated amides such as oleamides and erucamides — that migrate to the surface of extruded or blow-moulded plastic products and form a monomolecular layer, reducing the coefficient of friction between surfaces from around 0.7 to as low as 0.1 depending on dosage and type. Oleamides are lower molecular weight, fast-migrating "fast slip" additives, while erucamides migrate more slowly for controlled slip performance with added anti-blocking and mould-release benefits. Use in masterbatch form is highly recommended for uniform dispersion and effective slip at low dosage levels — ensuring smooth handling in automatic packaging machines, increased throughput, improved mould release, reduced die build-up and better process stability.
