Product Overview
RSPI Oxo-Biodegradable Masterbatch reduces the environmental impact of plastic products without affecting their usability. Degradation occurs in two stages: first, abiotic oxidation — heat, sunlight and oxygen break down polymer chains, reducing molecular weight and introducing carbonyl and hydroxyl groups; then microorganisms act on the oxidised material and convert it into carbon dioxide, water and biomass, completing biodegradation. Products maintain their full strength and performance during use, then degrade faster after disposal. There is no significant change in physical, mechanical or optical properties, no modification of machinery or processing parameters is needed, and the masterbatch is compatible with most polymer systems — a safe, environmentally responsible choice.
